gutting of house

Well, I told you I was not a good blogger. But I will get this thing caught up tonight.

Since the hurricane, we have been just trying to figure out what we are doing. We have learned to take things as they come-the good with the bad. I have discovered that even when things look the worst, that there is always someone somewhere that is worse off then we are.

We signed up with the Church of Christ disaster relief organization. They sent over a youth group out of Richardson Hill, Tx . In a weekend they had the house completely gutted. They did a fantastic job. We could have never done all of this ourselves. I asked them to look for any
Christmas stuff because I was looking for the Precious Moments navity set that I knew was in the garage. They left some stuff in the driveway and when I went through it,the navity was there. They where happy that we had found it. If anyone wants to give to any charity, the Church of Christ Disaster Relief is a great organization. They are still in town (their motto is'First In, Last Out') they are still cooking a meal a day, and handing out supplies. They even did a thanksgiving dinner, and a Christmas Party for the whole town. Their website ishttp://www.disasterreliefeffort.org/default.asp
